Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Black Chalice LLC ("we," "us") collects and uses information on PINDEX. By using the Service you also agree to our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: username, display name, email, password hash, age band attestation, Terms acceptance time/version, optional marketing opt-in.
• Profile and social data: UserNode content, posts, chat messages, reactions, follows, relationships, channel membership, avatars, and similar activity you create.
• Technical data: IP address, user agent, session identifiers, approximate device/browser info, and security logs (for example rate limits and ban enforcement).
• Payments: when you buy bits, payment processors (such as Stripe or PayPal) process card or wallet details. We receive transaction metadata needed to credit your account; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Optional location tags: if you attach place labels to profile content, we store what you choose to publish. Browser geolocation is not required for core use.

2. How we use information

• Operate accounts, sessions, chat, feeds, and UserNodes
• Enforce age gates, bans, and Acceptable Use
• Process bit purchases and virtual-currency ledgers
• Send transactional email (verification, security, account notices)
• Send marketing email only if you opt in
• Debug, secure, and improve the Service
• Comply with law and protect the Service and users

3. Sharing

We may share information with:

• Infrastructure and email providers that host or deliver the Service
• Payment processors for purchases
• Other users, for content and profile data you choose to make visible
• Authorities when required by law or to address serious abuse/safety risk

We do not sell your personal information as a product catalog.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage (including local/session storage) for login sessions, preferences, and product function. Essential storage is required for signed-in use. Visitors detected in the EEA or United Kingdom see a consent notice and may choose essential-only storage or accept optional analytics (for example performance metrics). Outside those regions, essential storage and optional analytics may run as part of normal Service operation without that notice.

5. Retention

We keep account and activity data while your account is active and as needed for security, ledgers, and legal obligations. Account deletion may include a holding period before purge, as described in-product.

6. Your choices

• Update profile and account settings while logged in
• Opt out of marketing email (transactional mail may still send)
• Request account deletion through the flows we provide

7. Children

PINDEX is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has an account, email report@pindex.network so we can remove it.

8. International users

The Service is operated primarily for users in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you understand your information may be processed in the U.S. or other locations where our providers operate.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
